Netherlands select Leeward Islands’ Doram for T20 World Cup | Loop Trinidad & Tobago

The Leeward Islands Hurricanes left-arm spinner Daniel Doram has been selected by the Netherlands for the 2024 ICC T20 Men’s World Cup.

The 26-year-old was born in the Dutch Caribbean island of St Maarten and is eligible to represent the Netherlands at international level.

Doram came into focus during the 2023 Super50 Cup when he took 12 wickets during the tournament, including a seven-wicket haul.

He also had 29 wickets during the 2024 West Indies Championship.

Doram has 45 wickets from 12 first-class matches, and 19 wickets in 11 List A matches.

The Netherlands has been drawn in Group D along with Bangladesh, Nepal, South Africa, and Sri Lanka.

They open their campaign against Nepal in Dallas on 4 June.
