Queen Maxima of the Netherlands attended the launch of Amsterdam Stagepact MBO at Capital C on Tuesday. For the special Occasion, she complemented her chic ensemble with monochromatic pumps.

The deep navy blue heels she wore were made of sleek blue leather. They are estimated to have a 3-inch stiletto heel and pointed toes.

Amsterdam’s Stagepact MBO is an internship pact that emphasizes the importance of sufficient good internships for both MBO students and employers and confirms the cooperation between the municipality, schools and companies. 

The Queen of the Netherlands has a penchant for pairing her pumps with other statement pieces in her ensemble. For King Charles III’s Coronation Service Argentine-born Dutch queen expertly matched her Gianvito Rossi patent leather Pumps with a straw manila stretch clutch.

Monochromatic pumps are the latest trend among European royals, and she’s not the only royal on the continent embracing monochromatic footwear. Queen Letizia of Spain stepped out on April 4 wearing Malbec red pumps to present several awards for the best Spanish athletes of the year at the 2022 National Sports Awards. Similarly, celebrities have been embracing the trend as well. Gayle King stepped out in purple suede pumps that perfectly matched her ensemble at MoMA’s 2024 Black Arts Council Benefit.
