Vogue Netherlands Demands World Peace with Stella Lucia for May 2024

Make no mistake that Vogue Netherlands is firmly on our radar. After all, covers over recent months have peeked our interest to no end (for reasons both good and bad). Back in March, the magazine paid homage to the four fashion capitals with four collectable covers. Last month, editor Yeliz Cicek called upon Luigi & Iango and Irina Shayk for April (which ultimately left a whole lot to be desired). At the very least, models are at the top of Cicek’s list of cover conquests and the latest to front the Dutch fashion bible is Stella Lucia. Photographed by Kate Bellm and with the magazine’s fashion director Linda Gumus Gerritsen on styling duties, the Austrian model who swept up at the Diesel, Balmain and Givenchy shows during the Fall 2024 season, is dressed one of the voile dresses from Prada’s Spring 2024 collection in the airy cover shot.

Read below the reactions of theFashionSpot’s forum members:

“Nothing wrong with their message but the tagline is horrible,” called out mikel.

“No wonder magazines don’t sell when you see this. Gosh, the image doesn’t say anything. The tagline isn’t impressive either. I can’t believe a Vogue title produced this,” Bertrando3 chimed in.

“Why must they butcher the English language…” shared blueorchid.

MON wasn’t buying it either, calling out: “I mean… [the word] PEACE was literally there. But you do you. Be edgy.”

“Ruined just for a word,” sighed a disapproving ivano.

“Stella Lucia should’ve been looking at the camera and it would’ve been 1000x better,” said WAVES.

“The cover just seems oh so… 2010 in terms of photography, concept and model choice. This feels like something Lula would’ve produced, and I was never a fan of Lula,” voiced vogue28.
